RSS, what is it?

Posted: March 28, 2012 in Uncategorized

RSS or Real Simple Syndication allows bloggers or website owners to automatically send content updates through an aggregator in a simplified form, usually with links to the full content. Such an example is located on the left navigation bar which currently shows news from the American Marketing Association. An aggregator is usually installed in the web browser or desktop application for users to quickly get a glimpes of any updates they find interesting. Aggregators are also called RSS readers, feed readers or news readers. This can be a very useful tool to not only keep your subscribers up to date but can be useful to track subscribers and see who and how many customers check your blog.
